We believe that health should be a priority to each and every one of us, and that if you want optimal health then you need a body that doesn’t hurt, moves well, and whose nervous system is capable or orchestrating the symphony of functions that your body is capable of. Vital chiropractic is here to help you create those very things!
Of all the things people understand about chiropractic, probably the best understood is it’s ability to help get people out of pain. Whether you suffer with neck, middle, or low back pain Dr. J has the skill and equipment to get you back in the game. You don’t have to live in pain, but you do have to try something different. Come in and get adjusted and see how different life can be when it feels good to move your body!
Once we get movement feeling good again, then we have to help train you on how (and how much) to move your body. Dr. J has the expertise to coach you through an exercise program for you, help you set up your desk and car seats in an ergonomic fashion, or just to help you with a better/more confident posture. Dr. J’s years of experience as a voice and movement coach, as well as a personal trainer and yoga instructor, augment his chiropractic knowledge in a rare and powerful combination. He knows experientially that movement is one of the most vital of the essential nutrients for health, and he cannot wait to see how regular supplementation of that nutrient changes your life.
The most important fact about your health, and about chiropractic, is how important your nervous system function is. This is the most powerful benefit of chiropractic, and easily the least understood. When your spine is aligned and moving well this supports the most optimal function of your central nervous system, which is responsible for regulating ALL of your bodily functions on some level. It is a no brainer that if you want to be well, then you will take the time to ensure that your spinal health, alignment, and movement are serving an optimal functioning nervous system. At Vital Chiropractic, this is literally what we do all day every day!
Meet the doc
Hi, I’m Dr. Jonathan Shultz (or Dr. J). I’ve been serving the Austin community as a chiropractor since 2015, when I graduated from Parker University. Along the way, I’ve also been an actor, teacher, yoga instructor, voice and movement coach, and musician — each of which taught me something about communication, connection, and the human body. But chiropractic is where I found my purpose: helping people live better, fuller lives.
My greatest passion, though, is being a husband and dad. I’m blessed with an incredible wife, Jacque, and two wild, wonderful kids, Hudson and Gemma.
My chiropractic style is active, precise, and thorough. I use vigorous adjustments to restore the movement your joints need. You’ll receive one of the most complete and attentive adjustments you’ve ever had. The process isn’t always comfortable — but you’ll walk out feeling like a million bucks.
In addition to full-spine work, I’ve spent the past three years studying Orthospinology Upper Cervical Chiropractic. Making sure your atlas is properly aligned ensures that your nervous system is fully engaged and your body’s innate power is switched on.
